Licensed sex therapy is a clinical service provided by a licensed mental health professional (like an LMFT or LCSW) and is regulated by state law. At Creating Change LA, licensed sex therapy is available exclusively to residents of California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, and nationwide in Australia, where our therapists hold active licensure.
If you live in the above areas and are seeking help for sexual dysfunction, trauma, relationship concerns, or emotional distress, licensed sex therapy may be the most appropriate path.
International sex coaching is a goal-oriented, educational, and skills-based service that does not require state licensure and can be offered to clients anywhere in the world. It is ideal for individuals and couples looking to improve communication, deepen intimacy, explore sexuality, overcome performance concerns, or navigate relationship structures like polyamory or kink. Sex coaching is not meant to treat mental health disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, or other disorders listed in the DSM-V-TR.

Not exactly. Sex therapy is a licensed clinical service regulated by state law and meant to treat mental illness. Our therapists can practice it only with clients physically located in the areas listed above. International sex coaching is a coaching-model that is not intended to treat mental disorders. Sex coaching draws on the similar expertise and evidence-based methods, but focuses on communication skills, personal growth, and psychoeducation.
All sessions are conducted via our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform — no software downloads required. We accommodate a range of international time zones and offer early morning and evening appointments. Sessions are 50 minutes and fully confidential.
Sessions are led by our team of AASECT-certified or AASECT-supervised clinicians, led by Clinical Director Natalie Finegood Goldberg, LMFT — a certified Sex Therapy Supervisor with extensive training in sexual dysfunction, intimacy, and relationship dynamics.
Yes. Our international sex coaching is available to individuals and couples alike. After an initial assessment, your coach will recommend the best format — individual sessions, couples sessions, or a combination — to meet your goals.
Completely. We maintain the same rigorous privacy standards for international coaching clients as we do for our licensed therapy clients. Sessions are conducted on encrypted platforms, and your information is never shared without your consent.
Sessions are currently conducted in English. We work with clients across cultural backgrounds and are sensitive to cultural context when discussing sexuality and intimacy.
Sex coaching is not considered “medically necessary” as it is not intended to treat a mental disorder or illness. As such, sex coaching services are not reimbursable by insurance. Ask about our sliding scale rates if finances might be a hardship.
